overview
Born in San Diego, California in 1972, Cameron is part Cuban as well as part Native American. Although she’s relatively young in years, she’s long on experience. She started modeling at the tender age of 16 with the Elite Modeling Agency, and by 17 had her first cover on Seventeen Magazine. Her stellar career rise continued when she was cast as a complete unknown to star opposite Jim Carrey in 1994’s “The Mask.” By the way, she reportedly signed up for acting classes immediately after winning the part.
An eclectic actress, she is equally at home and appealing in romantic comedies like “The Holiday” or an action movie like “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” for which she became only the second female star to earn $20 million for one pic. She’s also enjoyed doing the voice of Fiona in the wildly popular “Shrek” series. Along the way she’s been romantically involved with Matt Dillon, Jared Leto and Justin Timberlake.
