Akon is one of the handfuls of artists who were lucky enough to collaborate with Michael Jackson before his untimely passing. The R&B singer – who first recorded alongside Jackson on the “Thriller 25th Anniversary” album – said working with the King of Pop was an “incredible” experience.

Report: Michael Jackson Was Working On Two Albums At Time Of Death
Michael Jackson had two albums in the works at the time of his death, Billboard reported Thursday.
The singer was reportedly crafting a pop album with songwriter Claude Kelly and Akon as well as a collection of classical compositions.

Akon Speaks At Upstate NY Gun Violence Forum
Hip-hop star Akon spoke to students in upstate New York about gun violence as part of a plea agreement for tossing a fan off stage at a concert nearby.
Akon pleaded guilty in December to tossing the teen off stage at a June 2007 concert at Dutchess County Stadium in Fishkill, N.Y. He won’t serve jail time but must complete 65 hours of anti-violence and anti-gang community service.

Atlanta Man Enters Not Guilty Plea In Dolla Murder Case
A man accused of murder in the shooting death of Dolla at a Los Angeles mall has pleaded not guilty.
Aubrey Berry entered the plea to murder and assault charges in a Los Angeles courtroom Friday morning.
The 23-year-old Atlanta resident remains jailed on $5 million bail. His attorney, Howard Price, plans to ask for bail reduction at a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

Akon: Would ‘Absolutely’ Work With Chris Brown
Akon — who has gone through legal woes and bad publicity himself — says he’d be willing to work with pop’s latest problem child, Chris Brown.
“Oh, absolutely!” Akon said in a phone interview Monday. “I wouldn’t take anybody’s personal issues or problems-- I won’t hold them accountable for that when it comes to work. I think it’s twoseparate things.”
