LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
The comeback Britney Spears fans have been waiting for is finally here!
A source close to Britney revealed exclusively to Access Hollywood that “Womanizer,” the first single from the pop star’s sixth artist album, “Circus,” will be released to radio across America at 6 AM EST Friday morning.
As previously reported by AccessHollywood.com, “Womanizer,” was previously due for release on Monday, September 22.
But earlier this week, a rep for Jive Records told Access the single had been pushed back in order to finalize the audio mix.
Brit’s new album is produced by the Atlanta production team, The Outsyders, and has the pop star teaming up with producers Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Danja, Bloodshy and Avant.
She will reportedly perform the song in December on Simon Cowell’s U.K. reality show, “The X Factor.”
Fans are anticipating a big comeback from Brit after the star earned three awards, including Video of the Year, at the MTV VMAs on Sept. 7 for “Piece of Me,” a single from her 2007 album “Blackout.”
